WhatsApp makes new announcement for users across the World

WhatsApp has announced that it will not suspend or delete the account of any user amid debate on its new privacy policy that will come into effect from February 8.

The wiedly-used messaging app had previously stated that anyone who does not accept the new policy will not be able to use it.

WhatsApp in his today message on Twitter said, "Thank you to everyone who's reached out. We're still working to counter any confusion by communicating directly with WhatsApp users.

"No one will have their account suspended or deleted on Feb 8 and we'll be moving back our business plans until after May," it added.

“We will make sure users have plenty of time to review and understand the terms. Rest assured we never planned to delete any accounts based on this and will not do so in the future,” it reiterated.

On January 12, the messaging app cleared the air after public raised concerns over the latest privacy police, stating: “Our privacy policy update does not affect the privacy of your messages with friends or family”.
