Pakistan decides to review LNG agreement with Qatar

ISLAMABAD - Federal Minister for Petroleum Ghulam Sarwar Khan says government has completed its homework to review LNG agreement with Qatar.

In an informal talk with media in Islamabad, the Minister said LNG agreements cannot be terminated but can be reviewed after a period of ten years.

He said talks will be held with Qatari authorities in this regard during visit of the Prime Minister to the Gulf country.

The Minister said efforts will be made to seek maximum relief from Qatar by asking them to reduce the price of gas. He said government will facilitate private sector if it wants to import LNG.

Ghulam Sarwar Khan termed Saudi participation in CPEC a good development.
