India has no role to play in Afghanistan peace process

*ISLAMABAD – Foreign Office (FO) spokesman Dr Muhammad Faisal has categorically stated that India has no role to play in Afghanistan peace process.*

This was stated by the *FO* spokesman during his weekly press briefing on Thursday. He said that solution to the *Afghan conflict* lies in an Afghan-led and Afghan-owned *peace process*.

To a question, he said in pursuance of that *Pakistan* has facilitated direct talks between the *US* and the *Taliban*. The *FO* said we remain convinced that an intra-Afghan dialogue will lead to bringing peace and stability in *Afghanistan*.

*Dr Faisal* said in our view, the intra-Afghan dialogue is crucial for success and sustainability of peace process in Afghanistan. He said *Pakistan* will continue to support and facilitate Afghan peace process in good faith and as part of shared responsibility.
