Two policemen martyred at a police Naka in Allama Iqbal Town Lahore by unknown assailants fire
LAHORE: 2 policemen were martyred at a police check-post in Allama Iqbal Town Lahore by the firing of unidentified men. Both policemen sustained critical injuries. They were shifted to Jinnah Hospital for medical treatment but they could not survive and succumbed to their injuries.

 

As per details, policemen were identified as Asif and Mubashir. Both were present at Naka on their duty. They stopped 3 men who were riding on bike but the unidentified men started indiscriminate firing on police resultantly, two policemen sustained critical injuries and they breathed their last.

 

According to Police, the accused managed to escape from the scene. Police High officials including DIG Operations Dr. Haider, SSP Investigation Hassan Mushtaq and SP Iqbal Town Dr. Iqbal along with police team rushed to the scene. They expressed their grief over the incident and DIG Operation said that two police teams have been formed for the arrest of accused.

 

He further added that the accused are being traced with help of evidences which are collected by police from the spot and soon all the accused will be arrested by police.

 

The police also registered case against unidentified men and the sections of murder and terrorism were included in the FIR. On the other hand, Punjab CM also took notice of the matter and ordered the arrest of the accused as soon as possible.
