KARACHI – Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) Syed Murad Ali Shah took oath as Sindh chief minister today after being elected on Thursday.
More than thousands people were invited in the ceremony and Finger Fish, Reshmi Kabab, Chicken wings, Chicken Sandwiches and Patties were included in the menu of food. Except of this food list, the guests were presented Gulab Jamans.
However, in the swearing in ceremony of prime minister only included only water, Green tea and biscuits in the food menu.
He secured 97 votes of the total 168 votes in the Sindh Assembly while his rival Shehryar Mahar of the Grand Democratic Alliance bagged 61 votes.
Murad Ali Shah was elected as an MPA from Sehwan’s PS-34. He was elected second time as the chief minister. The first time he was appointed to the post was after his predecessor Syed Qaim Ali Shah resigned in July 2016. Murad’s father Abdullah Shah served as the province’s CM from 1993 to 1996.
