Rangers arrests target killers from Bahadrabad, Karachi

KARACHI (APP): Pakistan Rangers, Sindh, has arrested two suspected target killers from Bahadrabad area of the metropolis.

The para-military force, in a statement here on Wednesday, said that the suspects Kashif Qadir alias Kashif Tunda and Junaid Iqbal alias Buta were arrested on a tip off from Bahadrabad.

The suspects, who belong to militant wing of a political group, have confessed their involvement in murders and extortion, besides target killings of several lawyers, it added.

Giving details of the cases, it said that the accused are involved in the murder of Advocate Sohail Najam Ansari and his colleagues at Tipu Sultan Road on March 17, 2010; murder of Advocate Waheed Ahmed Qureshi at Tariq Road on November 01 2011; violence on May 12, 2007, City Court incident of April 09, 2008; murder of six workers of Sunni Tehrik; and extortion collection at Tariq

Road and Bahadrabad.

It said that arms and ammunition has also been recovered from the possession of the accused. They are handed over to police for legal action, it added.
