Afghan nationals, facilitator arrested along with sensitive maps

SHEIKHUPURA (APP): Police and other law enforcement agency on Wednesday conducted a joint raid and arrested 13 accused including 12 Afghan nationals and their Pakistani facilitator besides recovering passports, identity cards of Afghanistan and maps of sensitive places from their possession.

According to police sources, the Afghan nationals have been living in the house of Muhammad Aslam (facilitator) situated on Faisalabad Road, for long time.

As per law, Muhammad Aslam was bound to inform police concerned about the Afghan nationals but he did not do the same.

The arrested accused are Muhammad Aslam (facilitator) and 12 Afghan nationals including Somali Khan, Shamali Khan, Mashin Khan, Ayub Khan, Tariq Khan, Rahat Gull, Zamurd Khan, Kakakhel and others.

A police team led by DSP Raja Fakhar Bashir and SHO Rana Muhammad Iqbal, and personnel of other law enforcement agency conducted the raid.

The arrested accused has been locked in A Division Police Station and further investigation was underway.

Police sources also added that their four other accomplices belonging to Afghanistan were also arrested by Shahkot police.
