FIR registered against PMLN female MPAs in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD – FIR has been registered against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) lawmakers and workers who held a demonstration against the Supreme Court verdict, disqualifying former prime minister Nawaz Sharif for life, a case was registered against the protesters at the Secretariat Police Station on Tuesday.
MPA Tehseen Jawad, Sajid Awan, Rafique Chaudhry and others were booked in the case in which different sections, including shouting of slogans against the apex court, were added.
However, no arrest was made after registration of the case as yet.
Following the protest, sources claimed that the station house officer was suspended, besides transfer of other high-rank officers.
Police high-ups were asked as to how workers of a political party managed to reach outside the top court. Sources added that the Islamabad Police inspector general was also taken to the task over the incident.
