The Battle for Kunduz between Taliban and ANA intensifies in Afghanistan

The attack on Kunduz was launched just after days of announcement of Taliban’s spring offensive.
Afghan officials claimed that Taliban has been pushed back from Kunduz and has also killed scores of Taliban insurgents.
Kunduz police chief Qasim Jalabagh claimed that Taliban want to capture Chardara district which is situated in southwest of Kunduz.
He said “They wanted to cut the road which connects the district to Kunduz city to stop us sending reinforcements.”
Taliban has launched spring offensive in Afghanistan in order to get meaningful results.
Taliban claimed that they will launch high level insurgent and guerilla warfare attacks within the government held areas and also announced to establish good governance in captured areas.
Taliban has increased their anti-government campaign since the NATO-led international combat mission ended in 2014.
Human Rights Watch warned that Taliban could also use Child Soldiers in the battle which were recruited and trained by Taliban and dozens of these cases also occurred in the past.
