Either Join Peace Talks or face the music, Pakistan informs Afghan Taliban

KABUL: “Either Join Peace Talks or face the music” Pakistan informed Afghan Taliban after their announcement of ‘spring offensive’.

As per details, a Pakistani official claimed that the Taliban move disappointed the Quadrilateral Coordination Group (QCG) and it will also affect the peace process.

He claimed that Pakistan has given a clear message to Taliban leadership that if they don’t join the peace initiative they will have to pay heavy price.

Earlier this week, Taliban announced to launch a spring offensive based on large-scale attacks and guerilla warfare attacks.

Pakistan and other QCG member states tried to hold direct talks with Taliban but Taliban attached this with the imprisonment of Taliban leaders and demanded for removal of their names from black list.

Taliban insurgents boosted their attacks since the end of NATO combat mission in 2014.

Taliban are targeting Afghan forces and civilians in terror attacks.

Pakistan is playing its role in the fight to curb terrorism and also suffering most.
