Pakistan batsman Umar Akmal who has been named among the 20 probables announced for the training camp ahead of the home series against Sri Lanka, said that he is ready to bat at any number wherever the management wants him to.
“I am ready to bat at any number where my team management wants me to,” Akmal said.
Speaking to ARY News after hitting impressive half-century in ongoing Quaid-e-Azam trophy at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, the batsman said that the inning has restored his confidence.
“The confidence is restored after the first match of the Quaid-e-Azam trophy,” he said. “I am in a good form and rhythm right now.”
Umar batted one-down for Central Punjab and hit a astonishing 89 with 10 fours and two sixes.
The hard hitting batsman further added that he wants to forget the past and start a new journey of his career.
