ECP announces verdict against Maryam Nawaz petition

*ISLAMABAD - **Election Commission of Pakistan announces verdict against Maryam Nawaz petition over her disqualification as PML-N Vice President.*
*ECP has ruled in her favour and dismissed petition against her.*
*Maryam Nawaz will continue to serve as the PML-N vice-president after the Election Commission dismissed on Tuesday the petition challenging her party appointment. *
The ECP, however, has barred former PM Nawaz Sharif’s daughter from taking charge as party president or acting president until she is acquitted of the corruption charges.
Maryam came to the electoral body’s premises to hear the verdict and left shortly afterwards without speaking to the media.
A bench, headed by Chief Election Commissioner Justice (retd) Sardar Muhammad Raza, heard the case.
