Indian dreams of isolating Pakistan shattered at UN

WASHINGTON - Pakistan has been elected member to the United Nations Human Rights Council for the term 2018-20 despite the opposition from the arch rival India.

Foreign Office Spokesperson said Pakistan secured more than two third majority votes in the election held today at the United Nations General Assembly.

He said Pakistan's membership demonstrates confidence of the international community in our role and contribution to the national and global human rights agenda.
