BEIJING - China has rejected India’s claim that Karot Hydropower Project might affect its hydrological environment.

This was stated by a research fellow of Institute of International Relations at the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences’Hu Zhiyong while talking to Global Times.

He said the power station is located to India’s northwest and has nothing to do with rivers in India. He said Pakistan's Power shortage will be overcome by 2025 with the support and assistance of Chinese government.

He said India’s concern over the project won't affect cooperation between China and Pakistan as the ties are unshakable and will not target India.
