Another US drone strike on Pak - Afghan border targeting TTP, JuA

PESHAWAR: Another drone attack in Afghanistan, near the Pak-Afghan border on Tuesday killed at least nine people and injured five others, making it the third drone strike in the area during the last 24 hours. 

Sources said the strike in the Anjargi area targetted the hideouts of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Jamat-ul-Ahrar and the Haqqani Network.

The drone reportedly fired two missiles at a house in the area. 

An earlier drone attack on Tuesday morning occurred near the Pak-Afghan border area of Kuch Khurram in Afghanistan. 

Sources said the drone fired two missiles at a house in Kuch Kurram and casualties are expected following the attack. Drones could be heard flying over the area after the attack.

The political administration of the area claims that the drone attack on Monday and the one which occurred today did not happen on the Pakistani side of the border.  

At least 20 people were believed killed and 10 injured in a drone attack near the same area on Monday. Six missile strikes were reported to have been carried out.
