106 suspects held in Bahawalpur

BAHAWALPUR: The police have arrested 106 suspects from different areas of Bahawalpur district and recovered liquor, narcotics and weapons from their possession during last 15 days.
Police sources said, here on Tuesday that police parties conducted raids in different areas of the district during last 15 days and arrested 106 suspects besides recovering weapons, narcotics and liquor from their possession.
PS Baghdad-ul-Jadid police party arrested two suspects and recovered 55 liters of liquor from their possession. They also seized hashish from three accused. Cant police apprehended a suspect and recovered 95 liters of liquor from his possession.
Kotwali police recovered 68 liters of liquor from three possession. Musafir Khana police arrested six suspects and recovered 190 liters of liquor from their possession.
Police parties of several other police stations including Ahmedpur Sharqia, Dera Nawab Sahb, Hasilpur, Khairpur Tamewali, Qaimpur, Yazman, Civil Lines and others also arrested drug peddlers and recovered narcotics and liquor from their possession.
The accused were being interrogated. Further probe was underway.
