Air Ambulance arrives in Lahore today for former PM Nawaz Sharif

LAHORE - An air ambulance will arrive in Lahore from Qatar to take former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif abroad for treatment.

Reportedly, he is expected to leave the country within next 48 hours.

PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif and former premier’s personal physician Dr. Adnan will also travel with Nawaz Sharif.

Nawaz Sharif will be shifted from his personal residence at Jati Umrah to old airport of Lahore from where he will travel abroad.

Nawaz Sharif’s son Hussain Nawaz had arranged for the air ambulance. On his arrival in London, he will directly be shifted to Harley Street Clinic for further treatment.

Yesterday, the Lahore High Court (LHC) ordered to remove former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s name from Exit Control List (ECL) for four weeks without any conditions.

According to court’s order, Nawaz Sharif’s brother Shehbaz Sharif was also allowed to travel with him.

In the hearing yesterday, LHC had decided to prepare its own draft after both government and PML-N had rejected each others’ draft in a plea seeking removal of former premier Nawaz Sharif’s name from the Exit Control List (ECL).
