New developments reported over the remainder matches of PSL 6

ISLAMABAD- Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has received the go-ahead from the authorities to hold the remainder of the sixth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The final decision has not been made with Abu Dhabi or Dubai being touted as the likely venues. PCB is likely to officially announce the itinerary for the tournament in the next few days.

According to sources, the players and staff of all the six franchises of PSL will be required to undergo COVID-19 tests on May 18, and they will be required to submit their passports only after returning a negative result. The touring party will fly to the UAE via chartered flights and will be required to undergo a 10-day quarantine period upon their arrival to the country.

The sixth edition of PSL was originally being played in Pakistan, but after a COVID-19 outbreak within the bio-secure bubble and several players and staff members testing positive for the virus, the tournament was postponed.
