Federal cabinet takes important decisions with PM Khan in chair

The federal cabinet has on Tuesday (today) approved the Ramadan Relief Package of Rs7.8 billion in order to facilitate the needy and poor across Pakistan.
The federal cabinet meeting took place in Islamabad with Prime Minister Imran Khan in the chair and it was attended by Minister for Industries and Production Hammad Azhar and Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry.
Hammad Azhar, while addressing the media officials after the meeting, said that the sale of the Utility Stores Corporation is likely to touch 100 billion rupees this year and it is supposed that USC will earn some profit as well.
“Cabinet has also approved to run two urea small plants of private sectors from this month to meet the requirements of the farmers,” he added.
On the other hand, Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry said: “The cabinet has ordered a forensic audit of the loss-making entities and in the first phase, ten such entities will pass through this process, which will be completed by 30 June this year”.
The technology minister further informed that the cabinet has approved to allow the new arms license policy about prohibited and non-prohibited trouble.
“The cabinet too approved the issuance of smart cards to Afghan refugees, having Proof of Registration (PoR) cards so that their life can be made easy and for a swift resolution of their problems,” added Fawad.
