Pakistani woman cricketer Javeria Khan injured by bouncer

NEW DELHI: Pakistani woman cricketer Javeria Khan injured by a bouncer in World T20 match against West Indies.

 

She was hit at her lower jaw by a bouncer delivered by West Indies pacer Shamilia Connel and immediately taken to the nearby hospital in Chennai.

 

As per reports “Javeria was trying to pull the ball, but misjudged it and it hit her between the jaw and the neck.”

 

It also said “She looked a bit unconscious after being hit and was immediately taken off the field and were moved to hospital for precautionary scans.”

 

Official sources claimed that she is stable and out of danger but she will be under observation for the next 24 hours.

 

Earlier West Indies bat first and set a target of 104 runs.

 

Pakistan team tried their best but could not succeed and West Indies team won the match by 4 runs.
