Yet another Indian military soldier commits suicide with service weapon in occupied Kashmir
SRINAGAR - In occupied Kashmir, an Indian soldier committed suicide by shooting himself in Jammu.
The soldier, Ranbir Singh, while on Santry duty at Hamirpur Nawan Military Garrison in Khour area of Akhnoor ended his life by shooting himself with his service rifle in his forehead, a police official said quoting Indian Army officials.
This incident raised the number of such deaths amongst the Indian troops and police personnel to 405 in occupied Kashmir since January 2007 till date.
Meanwhile, a 25-year-old woman, Meenali Gupta, was killed while eight other members of her family were injured when an Indian Army vehicle hit their vehicle near Tikri in Udhampur.
The injured were identified as Dev Raj, Sudesh Kumari, Sunil Gupta, Tanisha Gupta, Taksvi Gupta, Sakshi Gupta, Deepak Kumar and Harshini Gupta.
