Justice Asif Saeed Khosa takes oath as 26th Chief Justice of Pakistan on Friday

ISLAMABAD - Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa, will take oath as the 26th Chief Justice of Pakistan on Friday in a ceremony, to be held in President House Islamabad.

Justice Asif Saeed Khosa being the senior most Judge after the retirement of Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar has been elevated to the Chief Justice of Pakistan.

Justice Asif Saeed Khosa was born in 1954 in Dera Ghazi Khan. He received Master of Laws degree from Queens' College, University of Cambridge, United Kingdom in 1978 and worked as a lawyer before joining the Bench in 1998 as Judge of the High Court.

He will serve as the Chief Justice of Pakistan for almost eleven months and will retire on December 20 this year.
