Contempt case against PCO judges dispensed with

ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court of Pakistan dispensed with the contempt of court appeals against the PCO judges on Wednesday.
Heading a three-judge bench of the apex court, Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Mian Saqib Nisar said the show-cause notices have been withdrawn; hence, contempt pleas are no longer effective against the PCO judges.
It should be noted here that the apex court issued contempt of court notices to PCO judges, who filed intra-court appeals against the notices.
