DAVOS: Academy Award winning filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid will co-chair the World Economic Forum.
“A Girl in the River” by Sharmeen Obaid gets huge reception at UN Show
According to a statement by her office, Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy is ready to become the first ever artist to co-chair the three-day meeting at the World Economic Forum.
The statement said, “Chinoy believes that it is a great honour to be a part of the Forum where she will be representing both the artistic community as well as Pakistan.”

Sharmeen has won several accolades including Emmy awards. Her most famous works, Saving Face (2012) and A Girl In The River: The Price Of Forgiveness (2016) won her two Academy Awards as well.
