PM Nawaz Sharif attends WEF meeting in Davos: Tour Highlights

The annual meeting of World Economic Forum begins in Davos, Switzerland today.

 

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is representing Pakistan at the meeting on the invitation of Executive Chairman of WEF Prof. Klaus Schwab.

 

Apart from addressing the forum, Prime Minister will also hold meetings with a number of heads of state, governments and business leaders.

 

Prime Minister will deliberate upon incentives being provided to foreign investors in Pakistan, particularly emerging opportunities in the context of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.

 

Pakistan's Permanent Representative to the UN Mission in Geneva, Tehmina Janjua says the key objective of Prime Minister's participation in the World Economic Forum meeting is to share success of Pakistan's economic policies and the great turnaround with world's top businessmen and entrepreneurs.

 

Talking to APP in Zurich, she said the Prime Minister in his different interactions with business leaders would apprise them of the remarkable positive indicators that have also been acknowledged by international financial organisations.

 

She said the forum would provide an opportunity to the Prime Minister to share views with the business leaders the lucrative incentives for the investors and country's development in different spheres and the ease of doing business.
