ECP dismisses petition against Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has dismissed a petition seeking disqualification of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan.

According to sources, the ECP has dismissed the petition for being not persuaded. The petition was filed by Hashim Bhutta who remained absent during the hearing.

While hearing PTI fund case, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sardar Raza Khan remarked he has nothing to do with politics and he curses politics.

The case came up for hearing before the ECP. Akbar Babar, counsel for the petitioner, said the ECP had sought record of the PTI funds but the orders were not being implemented.
