Kabul: In a major development, Taliban and the United States have finalized an agreement for ending years long violence in the war-torn Afghanistan.

Afghan Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah at the Council of Ministers on Monday said, “The agreement between the Taliban and US has been finalized”.

He further said the signing of the agreement depends on the reduction in violence during the proposed period of time, which is seven-days, Tolo news reported.

The deal is likely to be signed by the end of February.
