Young Pakistani girl raped to death: Police

HYDERABAD - In the murder and rape case of a speech-impaired young girl, the Jamshoro district police on Sunday have arrested and nominated a suspect for the crime. According to the police, the FIR was lodged on complaint of Rehmat Brohi, mother of slain young girl Sheerin Brohi.The police told that Abdul Rehman Shaikh had been named in the FIR lodged under section 302 of Pakistan Penal Code besides the sections of Anti Terrorism Act.
The police said Shaikh was produced before the court which granted his physical remand to the police. The incident happened on Saturday in village Sanwan Khaskheli in Kotri SITE area. According to the police and complainant of the FIR, the victim was alone at her home when the accused Shaikh barged in and allegedly committed the crime. The police said they are awaiting the postmortem report which would establish if she was raped or not.
