ATC Lahore to announce its decision in Zainab Murder case today

LAHORE:An Anti-terrorism Court (ATC) Lahore will announce its decision in the Zainab Murder case today (Saturday).
Earlier, ATC Judge Sajjad Ahmad had reserved the verdict on Thursday after recording testimonies of prosecution witnesses as well as arguments of defense and prosecution sides.
The trial was held on daily basis inside Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat Jail starting from 10th of this month when the prime accused Imran Ali was indicted in the Zainab rape and murder case.
The court conducted trial on a fast-track basis in order to meet the deadline set by the Supreme Court and the Lahore High Court.
The minor girl Zainab, who went missing on 4th of the last month from Kasur’s Kot Road area, was found raped, dead on a trash heap in Kasur on 9th of the last month.APP
