Top Lashkar-e-Islam commander dead in US drone strike in Afghanistan near Af-Pak border

ISLAMABAD: At least 15 militants including banned outfit Lashkar-e-Islam top commander Zakir Qambar were killed in US drone strike in Afghanistan near Afghan-Pakistan border.
As per details, US drone hit the militant’s hideouts in the Afghan province of Nazian and killed 15 terrorists. The dead commader Zakir Qambar was involved in heinous crimes including attacks on security forces in Peshawar and Khyber Agency.
Afghan officials also confirmed about his death. Afghan Army Brigadier Gen. Naseem said that the operation against terrorists is being intensified throughout the province.
He added that 60 militants were killed in Afghan forces operation throughout the country while a religious scholar died in shootout with the unidentified men.
