Russia and Iran agree to enhance defence and military cooperation
MOSCOW: Iran’s defence minister claimed that Iran’s key goal is to boost its defence system to promote stability in the region.

 

Iran’s defence minister is on a official visit   to Russia to talk about enhancing military cooperation.

 

He claimed that Iran has never developed a missile capable of carrying warheads and does not plan to do it in future.

 

He claimed that Iran’s ballistic missiles are purely for defence purpose.

 

Iran is strengthening its ties with Russia by coordinating on war of terror.

 

Iran will purchase T-90 tanks and Su-30 fighter jets from Russia.

 

Russia will also deliver an advanced long range S-300 air defence missile system to Iran.

 

According to the report, Iran is interested in buying Russian made S-400 Triumph surface to Air Missile (SAM) system, Sukhoi Su-30SM multirole fighter and military hardware.

 

Iran will also buy the Bastion (SSC-5 Stooge) coastal defence missile system, Mi-8/17 helicopters and diesel electric submarines from Russia.
