ISLAMABAD: A Pakistani Scientist Samir Iqbal living in USA has become pride of nation as he discovered a device for the early diagnosis of cancer. The nanotechnology has been used in the device.
As per details, the device would help doctors to quickly diagnose the disease in patients. His research paper was published in the Nature’s Scientific Reports paper called “Effects of Nano texture on Electrical Profiling of Single Tumor Cell and Detection of Cancer from Blood in Microfluidic Channels.”
Samir Iqbal thanked to Allah Almighty on his big achievement and said that the device has potential to diagnose the cancer in its initial stages so it will be helpful to secure the precious lives.
He added that it was made possible with grant of $5 million by National Science Foundation.
Samir Iqbal got his early education from NED University in Karachi and did Doctorate from Purdue University. He has also been conferred with NSF Award in 2009.
Samir was awarded with extraordinary engineer Award from University of Texas in 2013 while he had also received award of extraordinary research by Sigma Sai in 2014.
