Iran and Pakistan discuss ties and border security

BAKU – Iranian and Pakistani lawmakers discussed bilateral ties and border security.

Iranian and Pakistani MPs met on the sidelines of 5th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).

During the meeting between Iranian and Pakistani MPs, border security, in particular, the issue of abducted Iranian border guards was raised, Khadijeh Rabiei, one of the lawmakers told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).

She noted that the Pakistani lawmakers promised to do their best to pursue the case of abducted Iranian border guards.

A number of Iranian lawmakers attended the 5th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians of IPU.

Hadi Bahador, Mohammad Damadi, Khadija Rabiei and Sakineh Almasi are the young Iranian lawmakers who attended the two-day event, held in Baku.

The 5th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians of the IPU kicked off in Baku on Friday.
