DG Federal Investigation Agency issued contempt of court notice

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Monday issued a contempt of court notice to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Director General in a case filed by FIA Director Inam Ghani.
The petitioner stated in his plea that a junior officer of the FIA had issued notice to him in an inquiry against him.
The court had earlier ordered to shift the inquiry against him to a senior officer but the junior officer again served notice to him in violation of court orders, Inam Ghani said.
He prayed the court to initiate a contempt of court proceedings against the FIA DG and the junior officer.
After hearing the arguments, the bench issued notices to the FIA DG and sought reply from the department within ten days.
