The court held that although courts could direct the government to make amendment in law but it could not command the legislature to make amendment in the Constitution.
It is sole prerogative of the Parliament to decide about formation of shadow cabinet at federal and provincial level,it added.
The court further elaborated that already standing committees were working at Senate,National Assembly and Provincial assembly. Hence,there was no need of shadow cabinet which can only be formed through amendment in the constitution, it added. (APP)
