PIA staff offloads British national from flight over attempt to bribe customs and ANF staff

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan International Airlines staff offloads British national from flight over attempt to bribe customs and ANF staff.

British citizen was removed from flight PK-701 after he tried to bribe customs officers and Airport Narcotics Force (ANF).

According to the details, the person identified as Sohail was traveling to Manchester from Islamabad International Airport on a Pakistan International Airline flight. Sources say that he was planning to carry 18 cigarette cartons on the plane when he was stopped by the customs officers and ANF personnel, where he tried to influence them with a bribe whilst filming the scene. Immediately, the PIA staff took swift action and had him removed from the flight.

Just last month, two people were offloaded by the Federal Investigation Agency from an international flight at Islamabad airport over forged papers. Two Pakistani nationals, Zanar Gul and Ziarat Shah obtained Italian nationality while portraying themselves as Afghan citizens. They had shown fake Afghan citizenship papers to obtain an Italian passport and resident card.
