Pakistan squad against Sri Lanka series revealed, Few surprise names emerge
ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Cricket likely squad against Sri Lanka series has been revealed in which few surprise names emerge.
Umer Akmal, Ahmed Shahzad, Mohammad Hasnain and Wahab Riaz have been included in the top 20 players selected for the series.
The newly appointed head coach and chief selector, Misbah Ul Haq announced 20 probable names for the training camp ahead of the home series against Sri Lanka on Monday.
The right-handed opening batsman Ahmed Shehzad and Umar Akmal are among the 20 probable names announced by Misbah for the training camp, which will start from September 18.
The talented opening batsman Abid Ali and Asif Ali are also among the short-listed players. While the experienced fast bowler, Wahab Riaz, who has recently announced a break from Test cricket, has also been named for the camp.
On the other hand, the young pace sensation, Mohammad Hasnain, who has been called back from the Caribbean Premier League to perform national duties and the all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz are also under consideration for selection.
