Pakistan defence minister refuses to meet US CENTCOM Commander

ISLAMABAD  – Pakistan has on Saturday decided to lodge a strong protest with the US over drone strike which left three people dead in one of Pakistan’s federally administered areas near its border with Afghanistan.

Pakistan on Saturday is considering summoning US ambassador to the foreign ministry and lodging a formal protest over the drone strike.

On the other hand, the rules for protocol of American personalities have also been changed and by implementing on new rules, Defense Minister Khurram Dastagir had refused to meet US Central Command (CENTCOM) Commander General Joseph L. Votel.

Pakistan is also considering closing the Pakistan-Afghanistan border crossing for indefinite time.
