Pakistan's Liquid Foreign Reserves Position in September 2016

KARACHI (APP): The total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at US$ 22,858.4 million on September 9, 2016.
This was stated in an announcement of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) here on Thursday.

It said that the break-up of the foreign reserves position is as under:
i) Foreign reserves held by the SBP: US$ 17,853.7 million
ii) Net foreign reserves held by commercial banks: US$ 5,004.7 million
iii) Total liquid foreign reserves: US$ 22,858.4 million
The SBP further stated that during the week ending 09 September 2016, SBP's Liquid FX Reserves decreased by US$ 211 million to US$17,854 million, compared to US$18,065 million in the previous week.
During the week, SBP made payments of US$ 296 million on account of external debt servicing.
