Why Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan postponed visit to Pakistan?
ISLAMABAD – Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan has postponed his visit to Pakistan due to the ongoing military operation in Syria.
Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan Ihsan Mustafa Yurdakul confirmed the postponement of the visit and said that new dates will be announced soon.
Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan was due to visit Pakistan on October 24. A high-level delegation of traders was also accompanying him. He had confirmed his visit during a meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Meanwhile, President Tayyip Erdogan said that Turkey’s offensive into northeast Syria will end if Kurdish fighters in the region drop their weapons and withdraw from a planned ‘safe zone’, warning that no power could stop it until then.
