LONDON – Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General (DG) Major General Asif Ghafoor has rightly claimed credit for defeating international terrorist organisation Al Qaeda.
DG ISPR on Tuesday stated that peace in Pakistan is linked to peace in war-torn Afghanistan.
Ghafoor made these remarks in his address to participants of Yorkshire University.
“Al-Qaeda [a terrorist multi-national organization would not have been defeated without military and technical assistance from Pakistan. World should acknowledge Pakistan’s unrivalled sacrifices in WoT”, Gen Ghafoor was quoted as saying.
ISPR DG added that the dream of restoring lasting peace in region and world can’t be achieved without cooperation of Islamabad. He stated, “Washington must stay in Afghanistan till situation turns normal”.
