ISLAMABAD – The Ministry of Communications has earned over 6.3 crore rupees from the auction of the luxury vehicles today.
Ministry of Communication on Tuesday auctioned 66 out of 76 luxury vehicles under the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government’s austerity drive.
The event raised about 63.9 million rupees as the bidders did not take part in the auction of eight luxury vehicles. The remaining two vehicles were not put up for auction.
The next phase will take place in Peshawar on Wednesday where 15 cars will be put up for auction, an event that has been billed as part of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s drive to give “the nation’s wealth to its rightful owners”.
