ISLAMABAD – The Supreme Court heard the model town case on Friday.
SC has issued notices to the Advocate General Punjab and Prosecutor General Punjab in the Model Town case on Friday.
Hearing the plea to summon Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif in the case, three-member bench headed by Justice Gulzar ordered to inform the court about progress on the trial of the Model Town tragedy.
The counsel for PAT said that the LHC had pronounced the verdict by a margin of 2-1, while court had evidence against the former government. “Two judges ordered the completion of the trial, while the third judge proposed re-investigation into the case,” he contended.
Justice Gulzar Ahmed remarked that a separate trial will be held if a case is registered against political leaders.
