Interest-free loans registration date extended

MULTAN: The registration date for gettinginterest-free loan under the Khadim-e-Punjab Kissan Package has been extended by November 30.
There was no fee for registration while interest-free loan had been provided to 180,000 small growers under the package during 11 months, said an agriculture spokesperson.
He said that loan would be provided to 600,000 growers across the Punjab further while loan was being provided to fiveacre land owners on priority basis.
He said the interest-free loan would be provided for the next crop on a condition of timely payment of the previous loan.
A token would be issued from the staff after registration of a grower while bank and concerned departments would contact the grower who would meet criteria.
The growers were directed to bring an original identity card, mobile number and land record at concerned tehsil record centres.
