State Bank of Pakistan Chief breaks silence over US dollar hike against Pakistani Rupee

KARACHI - State Bank of Pakistan Chief breaks silence over US dollar hike against Pakistani Rupee.

The Chief Spokesman of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Thursday said the exchange rate in the Inter-bank market closed at Rs146.52 for one US dollar against Wednesday’s close of Rs141.40.

In his brief statement, he said this movement reflected demand and supply conditions in the foreign exchange market. And, it would help in correcting market imbalances.
