Assets Declaration Scheme to help documentation of economy: Firdous

Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan says business community and general public has given good response to the agreement with International Monetary Fund and Assets Declaration Scheme.
In a statement, she said that the objective behind Assets Declaration Scheme is documentation of economy and utilization of dormant assets.
She said Assets Declaration Scheme is meant to provide opportunities to all segments of the society including business community who can register their assets after payment of tax amount.
She said that the agreement with IMF is testimony to the fact that the government believed in financial discipline and is determined to introduce reforms.
She made it clear that the rights of poor segments of the society will be protected in the IMF agreement.
Dr Firdous said that Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme, Clean and Green Pakistan and Ehsas Programme meant for elimination of poverty are major steps towards realization of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision.
