NAB arrests senior bureaucrat with Rs. 50 Crore assets

PESHAWAR: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa arrested an official of the National Highways Authority for misusing his powers to build assets worth Rs500 million.
A 21-grade-officer Yousuf Ali managed to build a 2-canal bungalow in an expensive locality in Islamabad, and two one-canal bungalows in Peshawar and Hayatabad. He purchased a one-canal plot in Karachi’s Defence Housing Authority and four other such plots in Hayatabad.
Apart from this he had bought agriculture land spread over several acres in Haripur and Charsadda.
He was arrested by NAB and presented in the accountability court where he was remanded for 14 days in NAB custody.
