13th session of Parliamentary Union of OIC begins in Tehran

The thirteenth session of the Parliamentary Union of the Islamic Countries begins in Tehran on Tuesday.

National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and Senate Chairman Mian Raza Rabbani will lead Pakistan's delegations from both houses of parliament in the event.

Parliamentarians from fifty-six Muslim countries will be participating in the session.

Pakistan will move two resolutions on Kashmir for approval passed by the standing committees of the Parliament.

The resolutions have highlighted the gross human rights violations and continued denial of freedom to Kashmiris by the Indian forces in occupied Kashmir.

The resolutions also sought immediate attention of the Parliamentary Union of Islamic countries over the ghastly Indian attempts to bring demographic changes in the held valley converting the Muslim majority of the State into minority by settling non-Muslims.
