Panama Papers case in Supreme Court inches towards conclusion

A five member larger bench of the Supreme Court headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa has adjourned the hearing of Panama case till Tuesday next.

The bench directed the chairmen NAB and FBR to appear before the court on the next hearing.

Salman Akram Raja, the counsel of Hussain Nawaz and Hassan Nawaz, today concluded his arguments.

He submitted that there is no evidence of any wrong doing against his clients. He said the petitioners also have not filed any evidence against them.

Counsel Salman Akram Raja maintained that Maryam Nawaz has not acquired anything abroad which is why she has no proprietary rights in London flats.

The bench said keeping in view the importance of the case, it is looking into its all aspects.

The counsels of the PTI, Jamaat-e-Islami, the Prime Minister and Maryam Nawaz have already completed their arguments.

On the next hearing, the NAB's counsel will present his arguments.
