Apple I-Phone 8 amazing features
Apple is all set to do away with its flagship device’s home button in the upcoming iPhone 8 , informally called iPhone X, experts claim.
KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, a reliable authority on Apple products, recently issued a note to investors, wherein he mentioned that the 5.8-inch-screen phone will have space allotted to a virtual bar, something that has never been featured in prior iterations.
This leads us to believe that both the touch ID and the home button will be removed in line with the tech juggernaut’s plan to give screen the entire front panel.
Interestingly, with no other major improvement in the 2017 iPhone model according to Kuo and removal of touch identification, it is a likely possibility that it will boast other types of recognition, such as facial or iris.
Previously, Bloomberg reported that the iPhone-maker is in talks with BOE Technology Group, a Chinese company, as a potential supplier for its next-gen OLED screens, which are currently being manufactured by Samsung.
It is searching for options to resolve the global OLED display shortage - with four major component suppliers "Samsung Display Co., Sharp Corp., LG Display Co. and Japan Display Inc.," unable to meet the demand - and lead the race against peers Samsung and Huawei, the website said. Apple, however, refused to reveal any information.
Speculation on the Internet and business community has predicted iPhone X’s price to be around $1,000, which has been seconded by Kuo.
